Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I come to my apprenticeship everyday 5 days a week and learn in a 6 week intensive block program using me with the maximum knowledge possible in the duration, then after working in the Caxton Academy the 6 week block switches over to 6 weeks on site where i am able to implement my skills into the real world, i have the opportunity to build things such as blockwork, brickwork, patterns and such.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I always feel happy and respected when i am working with Caxton group and training through Caxton Academy, i know that when i go into site in the morning it is a great feeling to be trusted by the site team to implement my skills and construct beautiful masonry pieces.
It is a nice feeling to walk past jobs that i have been on and admire masonry that i have worked on and see the beauty of the finished product.
I receive a thorough amount of training in my apprenticeship, providing me with terminology, hands on experience, technical ability, diversity equality and inclusion, lifestyle choices, methodology, mathematics, english.

i have learnt many life style skills, terminology in bricklaying, methodology, English, mathematics.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

We have a 6 week intensive block training in the Caxton academy to aid our skills and knowledge to the maximum capacity in the time we are there for to then transfer that onto site.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive respect and appreciation from my employer, providing me with help and encouragement.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Caxton Academy teach me all the knowledge i need to know in the brick laying world, such as terminology, methodology, techniques.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that it very much assists my skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes we have events, charity work, social media, interviews, job fairs exetra.
