Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Great.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Towards the end of rotations you can get a bit more responsibility and put into practice what you've learnt. Responsibility varies based upon your team but may include contributing to client meetings, writing reports, or conducting modelling.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Given rotations are 4 months, it's hard to learn enough and be trusted enough with much responsibility by the end of the rotation. However, if you do a double rotation. it makes this much easier and you can contribute much more meaningfully.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

It's at the very bottom-end for graduate jobs in London. Given how competitive it is to get onto the scheme, its surprising how poor the renumeration is. If you're based in London, you have to be fortunate enough to receive some financial support from elsewhere.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The breadth of experience you can receive is brilliant, and the number of people you can meet and learn from is second to none.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

This varies based on the team you're in. You can learn a lot of new skills e.g. proficiency in different software or social/agency skills. It's often tricky to develop them properly though if you are rotating.

Often teams are very good at respecting hours that need to be put towards the educational aspect of the apprenticeship. Work-wise, most people also respect your working hours too as long as you are getting your work done. Given the renumeration, a lot of people have to live a fair distance away from central London - so a lot of commuting time involved for some.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Great atmosphere and social culture. It is normal for graduates to not ever work from home although this varies team-to-team. This is ideal for learning and building relationships so long as seniors are mostly in the office.

Great culture, tonnes of experience to be gained, good support.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

What it says on the tin. Big firm, lots of great people to learn from, wide range of experience to acquire, competitive, social, brilliant for future prospects. There are pros and cons to the 4-month rotation scheme as there are to a fixed-graduate scheme. It's personal preference. Renumeration should be increased to similar level of other prestigious firms.
