Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
Savills is a very prestigious and well known firm. It provided good APC support and allows for working at a variety of their offices nationally. It is an intense work environment. People are out of the office regularly.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Building surveys for a variety of clients. Working with large clients to deliver refurbishments and deliver large projects.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I support a team of five. I regularly conduct site visits, meetings with contractors and surveys to support other team members.

How is the support you receive?

We are provided with mentors and buddy's if we wish. When I have gone through the process, these staff members were not well suited to myself, however, this is a good premise.
How is your work-life balance?

Good work/life balance. Some expectations regarding responding to calls/emails out of work hours and checking our phones on Sunday before the work day in case meetings and on-site commitments have changed.

Good, busy, values largely revolve around team work and high quality work production.

We have been to plant trees and clean beaches previously. Savills do alot to give back nationally.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

There is less structured teaching and learning processes than I was expecting. There is also less team meetings and less of an emphasis on teamwork and group understanding.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
Check the APC process, Savills are very keen that you understand the mechanisms of the RICS. Be enthusiastic.
