Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
I have really enjoyed my experience at Savills so far. The training and support has been hugely beneficial and feel as if I have learnt a lot since joining.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy engaging with clients, attending meetings (both online and in-person). I also enjoy how current the job is, constantly engaging with changing policy that our team are always up-to-date on.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

There is always the opportunity for me to contribute to the team. This involves working on a variety of projects, in which this may be research, liaising with clients or attending meetings. I can also contribute through running my own CPD session in which I can contribute meaningfully to the team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

We received a joining bonus and March bonus which was valuable to receive.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The training is excellent at Savills, as we engage in CPD every week. The team is hugely approachable and can ask questions whenever and to anyone. The team is always keen to help and the Graduate team provides constant training on MyLearning - AI courses, for example.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I feel as if I am developing in my role as a Planner. I am getting involved in more projects, and starting from the beginning in these so I can see how these projects develop over time. I am gaining more confidence in what I do and the reasoning behind the work I undertake.

How is the support you receive?

Support from HR, my line manager and mentors is excellent. I have frequent meetings to discuss progress which highlights areas where I should target or improve on. My line manager is aware of my university assignments and deadlines, which is helpful.
How is your work-life balance?

The work week supports my work life balance, although staying on top of university work at the same time can sometimes be challenging when deadlines are due.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The team culture is hugely welcoming, eager to help and learn from. We don't work from home and are in the office 5 days a week.

Savills provides lunches, learning sessions and training on equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. I am emailed about these frequently and informatively.
