Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is varied depending on current placement, currently it involves supporting trials, product & process documentation for existing product manufacture, but has previously covered research & development for new products. Due to the placement based nature, this varies, but a hands on element is generally present throughout.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the range of activities we get exposed to, and the importance of the work we do. Most placements are very positive, with teams looking to better us & our skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Our work placements are planned, with some flexibility to change to support individual interest / learning need. University however, feels somewhat disconnected from our roles at times, but for the most part is relevant.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Apprenticeship managers are available to support our needs, placement managers support our daily activities. Our university provides an ALO (Academic liason officer) who supports from the university side, and is brilliant to work with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
