Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was a range of panels and talks on different seats available at the firm, including M&A, Pro Bono and Banking. We also got the chance to participate in a fun litigation exercise, as well as a golf social after work.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We got specific details about the vacation scheme and training contract at Allen and Overy, which should prove extremely helpful. Additionally, we gained key insight into the Fuse section of the firm, as well as opportunities for client and international secondment which was great.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture seemed great. Everyone we spoke to portrayed integrity and a collaborative spirit which isn’t as prevalent as other city Law firms, so it’s great to see that this is such a big focus at A&O.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight because it struck a perfect balance between delivering value with the various presentations, and also allowing for opportunities to connect with one another during breaks and dedicated time periods.
