Data Analyst Review

I work as a Transport Data Analyst, focusing on analysing data to support decision-making across the transport function. I build and maintain reports using Power BI, Excel, and SQL, tracking key performance areas such as delivery performance, utilisation, and costs.
On a day-to-day basis, I extract and transform data, update reports, and respond to ad hoc requests from stakeholders. I also work closely with teams to improve reporting, ensure data accuracy, and automate processes where possible.
My role is centred on turning data into clear insights that help improve performance and efficiency.

The programme was well structured overall, with clear content and a logical progression throughout. The tutors were excellent and very supportive, and I could not fault the quality of teaching.
At times, the coaching support felt slightly stretched, and it was not always easy to get dedicated time when needed. However, this did not take away from the overall quality of the programme, which I found to be well organised and effective.

I have received excellent support from my employer throughout the programme. I feel very fortunate to have had consistent support from my line manager and the wider team, with regular check-ins and guidance.
I was given realistic deadlines for projects and the time needed to focus on my learning, which made a big difference. Overall, I have felt well supported and looked after during my training.

I have received strong support from the training provider, particularly from the tutors. They were insightful, informative, and always approachable, and were happy to provide additional support outside of sessions. They also gave valuable feedback and guidance on project work, which really supported my development.
My coach was knowledgeable and helpful; however, at times it felt like they were managing a high number of learners, which meant sessions could feel slightly limited. Fortunately, I was able to stay on track, but more dedicated coaching time would have been beneficial.

The qualification has significantly helped me perform better in my role. I have learned a wide range of new skills and built on existing ones, which I now apply in my day-to-day work.
It has also greatly improved my confidence, particularly when working with and engaging stakeholders. Overall, it has had a very positive impact on both my performance and professional development.
