Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am a Data Analyst Degree Apprentice At BAE Systems. During this apprenticeship, I have had the opportunity to work in 4 different functions of the business, moving every year. This has given me a well-rounded view of the company, with the variety to work on different projects every year. My work includes a range of complex tasks requiring problem solving, there's always something to do! Every Wednesday we have time for uni work, where I am currently working on my 6 month work-based project and EPA portfolio.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's been great and would absolutely recommend.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My knowledge, skills and behaviours within my role have massively improved since starting the apprenticeship. This includes technical skills too, I wouldn't have had the technical knowledge to complete my 6 month project before starting my apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well structured. We get the opportunity to work in different placements around the business every year, so that we aren't working in the same team for the entire apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We receive a lot of support, our cohort of apprentices have a development coach to help with any apprenticeship related queries. Our line managers within the business placements are also very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Similar to our employer, we have a uni development coach to help with the admin side of the apprenticeship, the lecturers are also really helpful with answering questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I've learnt a lot from the degree side of the apprenticeship, however the university course can sometimes feel weighted towards soft skills rather than technical skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are apprentice committees, and also cohort level social activities to get involved in
