Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am responsible for physiotherapy education within an independent healthcare organisation. On a day-to-day basis, I work closely with the physiotherapy senior leadership team and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate, high‑quality education and development opportunities are in place. This includes designing and delivering engaging CPD programmes, supporting workforce development, establishing and expanding student placement opportunities across the organisation, and overseeing the training, progress, and support of physiotherapy apprentices.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I very much enjoy my apprenticeship programme and find it both engaging and highly relevant to my role. It has supported my development in countless ways, providing me with new knowledge, skills, and perspectives that I am able to apply directly in practice. Reflecting on my progress over the past six months, I can clearly see how I have developed both professionally and personally.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Through my apprenticeship, I have developed both new and existing skills, particularly in interprofessional education and structured curriculum design. I have improved my ability to develop educational content that is evidence‑based, relevant, and aligned to the needs of the target population, while linking educational theory to practical application in my role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised and clearly structured. It is delivered entirely virtually, with a flexible format that fits well alongside my work commitments and allows me to balance learning with my day‑to‑day responsibilities effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive excellent support from my employer. I am given protected time to study, which can be taken flexibly to fit around my role, and I am also supported with opportunities to learn from colleagues whenever these arise, further enhancing my development throughout the programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive excellent support from my training provider. The online provision is high quality and well structured, and the lecturers are approachable and responsive, consistently answering questions or queries promptly and providing clear guidance throughout the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that the qualification has transformed my ability to perform in my role. It has strengthened my understanding of the theory and processes that should underpin educational practice, which has in turn improved my efficiency, and overall effectiveness. As a result, I am able to work in a more structured and purposeful way and deliver higher‑quality outcomes.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I am not currently aware of any formal extra‑curricular activities at my workplace, such as social events, sports teams, or organised professional networking opportunities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Nuffield Health to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Yes, I would absolutely recommend Nuffield Health to a friend. I have worked across a variety of roles within the organisation and have consistently found it to be an inclusive, supportive, and engaging place to work. Every team I have been part of has been welcoming and collaborative, and I have always felt valued, so much so that I have been genuinely sad to leave each role when the time came.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nuffield Health?
I would encourage applicants to reach out to staff already working in the area they are interested in, as this can provide valuable insight into the role and organisation. Keeping an open mind and not being afraid to ask for advice or guidance can also be really helpful.
