As an Assistant Client Accountant – Apprentice, my role centres on supporting the financial management of property portfolios while developing my technical accounting knowledge through the AAT qualification. I work closely with Client Accountants and Property Managers to ensure that financial records are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
The role combines hands‑on accounting tasks with ongoing learning, giving me exposure to real client work while building a strong foundation in property accounting.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my apprenticeship, I have developed a wide range of new skills, including confidently processing invoices and payments, carrying out reconciliations, and using property management systems in my day‑to‑day work. I’ve strengthened my understanding of service charges, reporting, and client accounting processes, while also improving my communication, organisation, and attention to detail. Balancing my AAT studies with practical experience has helped me grow both technically and professionally.
