Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I cost estimates for task/work as well as keep contracts with suppliers & customers up to date. I manage contractual documents as well as the pricing for certain tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love my job. You move around placements every 6 months to get a variety of the business and meet new people for networking. The apprentice work on top of placement work can be challenging, however, there are so many avenues of support that you do not feel stressed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned so many new skills during my apprenticeship. For example:
Record and document production
IT
Communication
Interpersonal Skills
Decision Making
Quality
Planning & Organisation
Project Management

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The actual job role / placement work that you complete is always well structured and there is always someone there to help you and try to further your professional development.
However, the apprentice side of things can feel a little 'choppy', some skills coaches are hit or miss a
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support you receive at BAE Systems is phenomenal. There is someone always there to help or point you in the right direction. Make sure you use their resources!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My skills coach is always there to help and support me when feeling overwhelmed. However, the do not know or understand your placement work / day-to-day work so it may be hard for them to understand. They need to be involved in your placement work more to get a full understanding and help with anything needed in order to complete your apprentice work / assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification isnt totally related to my day-to-day work, however, it makes you professionally develop yourself more as youre looking through your KSBs and realising how much that is related to your day-to-day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
So many go on, too many to list / mention. There are always networking events, BAE Systems value networking and put it top of their priority list, the function I am in prioritises their people.
