Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis I attend a drumbeat of team meetings, report on team activities, report on project progress, shadow team members, support SMEs activities (e.g. scheduling, planning, forecasting, assurance), and study towards my Construction Management degree with UBE.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. The team I work with is supportive, and the Central Business Emerging Talent team provides a variety of valuable development sessions. I learn a lot through both structured training and my project team/work.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, one skill which has developed the most is my presentation skills, I have presented several times to senior management who provided clear constructive feedback. Shortly followed by my communication skills, to perform my job I have needed to communicate verbally and written clearly.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme has a clear 5 year structure including a defined end goal: degree, experience, and chartership, progress towards this is monitored through annual apprentice reviews and performance goals. Additionally, the UNI I attend is structured well to support apprentices and part time studying.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my project team through catch ups etc. Additionally the central business provide lots of development opportunities including training and bi-monthly apprenticeship development sessions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As mentioned above UBE has a support team and questions are answered in numerous ways on webinars, forums, and support chats.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification provides an important understanding on the processes, regulations, and concepts applied to the industry.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, Mace has lots of extra-curricular activities some I have been involved in are: charity golf day, black tie boxing event, national site visits, volunteering days and more.
