5/5
My role is project management related meaning i work on major projects within the region on project teams. I sit within the local government sector so work on behalf of the client being the local authority. Alot of my current role is project admin and over site of project documents like risk registers and lessons learnt as examples. I visit project sites weekly and attend meetings to track the progress of the project dependent on the current stage of the project. This varies from design stages through to construction and then handover.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love my apprenticeship, I have gained so much understanding into the industry, met so many amazing people who i enjoy working alongside. Also gaining a degree means I have that technical experience. My employer supports me through development sessions and throughout the programme provides me with opportunity to develop my soft skills and fundamental skills while allowing us to fully be involved with other apprentices across the country

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt so much about the industry as a whole, while also developing as an individual. My employability skills and confidence has grown so much through the scheme and the support i have received has allowed me to transition so well from school to employment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
We have a very clear structure within the scheme. With clear trajectory to develop. We also have an emerging talent team which is centered around nurturing us through the programme. The clear pathway makes it possible to grow and move forward in our careers.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have a very wide support network, I have a line manager and buddy who i directly am working with and in contact with. We also have development sessions and an emerging talent team for wider support on the scheme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have a day a week allocated to my studies where i am supported for taking that time. I have sessions monthly with my university and line manager to track my progress and monitor how i am doing with studies.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My studies are teaching me the direct knowledge that I practice in my role. Meaning i can learn and then take away my learning to practice what i have been taught which helps it stick and feel applicable.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have sports like netball, football and cricket to be involved in. I am also involved in the office committee where we plan well being events and socials. examples being a sushi session in the office. I attend networking events with work and industry dinners. The emerging talent team also host an annual awards dinner in London which all apprentices and grads attend. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the scheme along with meeting other people in similar positions.
