Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I rotate between different areas throughout the company on a 6 month basis. This allows me to get a good understanding of how different areas operate and what skills are needed. On a day-to- day basis, I work as any normal person would. Once you have a solid understanding of how things work, you will begin to be able to work independently.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
As an apprentice, you get many additional opportunities. As previously stated, the programme allows you to experience multiple areas and get a solid foundation of knowledge that you can use for your future. On top of this, you get to meet many people across site and create connections that can further develop your career. A downside to this is your change in pay, as it will vary depending on the area you work in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to operate different pieces of equipment and how to manage my time. I've also learnt how the company operates and what is required to meet goals. Furthermore, my communication skills and confidence has increased since starting my apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Due to the high number of apprentices, there can be complications when trying to keep things organised. For example, when you rotate to a new area, you may be informed quite late as they have spent too long planning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There are many people who you can go to when in need and they're willing to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are frequent events planned by apprentices to get everyone together and socialise.
