Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I'm currently on a rotation in software i will come in at half 7 and work on my own currently coding until i get stuck or i spot my mentor and grab him to check over it. Do that all day then go home at 4
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It is good when i have proper work to be doing but im often a little bit of an outcast and dont really get valuable work sometimes.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yeah i would have i have developed a lot of new skills such as coding or designing PCB's. I have also improved existing skills such as my dexterity whilst being on the shop floor.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I often feel lie there is nothing planned for me and a little bit of an outcast
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel like i often have someone to help when i need it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

SETA really isnt that great the quality of learning is poor and not relevant to what i do in work at all
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It doesnt help in terms of learning things for the jobs but the qualification helps tick boxes and allows me to progress.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is definetly possibilities as there used to be loads before Covid but if the question is proposed then it would start up again.

Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
Yes
Why?
At the end of the day its a good company with lots of benefits. I would say working for Siemens atm is a lot more beneficial than working in the old Reyrolle office.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
Go for it as it can easily be a job for life with lots of benefits along the way
