Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at E.ON UK?
I have been with E.ON for many years in various roles and was very lucky to be successful in my application for the Solicitor Apprenticeship within the legal team. E.ON are very progressive and always look to provide opportunities for growth and support employees in their learning and career goals.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a Solicitor Apprentice my main role is to support the in house legal team with their matters and in turn gain the work experience required to qualify at the end of the apprenticeship. I assist with reviewing and drafting of documents and with legal research in order to answer queries from the teams stakeholders.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
The team are patient and supportive and have a strong understanding of the benefits I can bring to them and the goal that I have so that they can also assist me in return. This is the most supportive and friendly team I have been with in E.ON and I cannot commend them enough.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
The salary is more than fair.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
This is a golden opportunity for me and I have the full support of the entire legal team. There is a strong recipe for success in this role and I am going to take full advantage of it.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
I learn something every day. It is hard work and there is so much to take in but rewarding nonetheless. Feedback is always constructive and supportive and I know I have the backing of the whole team.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
As previously mentioned, I don't think I could find a more supportive team anywhere else. My direct line manager and supervising solicitor is always available and proactively supports my learning and growth and the rest of the team are also fully aware of the needs for me to advance and offer opportunities and guidance frequently.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Never been better. I have a protected study day that is respected by everyone and the flexibility to work and study as and when the priorities demand.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
The working atmosphere is superb. I feel included, supported and enabled in every interaction. I don't think this could be improved even if they tried.
How would you rate E.ON UK initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
Second to none. There is always an event ongoing to raise awareness and support for various causes all across the year.
How would you rate E.ON UK CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
As above, there is always a piece of work being shouted about and supported by the company, whether that be supporting schools with understanding energy or helping with planting trees and creating green spaces for local communities.

Would you recommend E.ON UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
