Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an Operations Supervisor, I act as the crucial bridge between senior management’s strategic goals and the daily, hands-on execution of frontline staff. My primary role is to ensure that daily activities run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies, while fostering a productive team environment that achieves organizational goals.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt new skills like
• Permissions Management: Grant user access to systems and tools (such as "Problem Solve Associate" permissions through Trans-Logistics)
• Labour Planning & Staffing: Set up and manage the Staffing Board for shift labour allocation across different process paths
• Shift Management: Provide support in various roles, including dispatch and On-The-Road (OTR) operations
• Daily Workflow Management: Planning, scheduling, and allocating resources and tasks to team members to ensure targets and customer demands are met on time.
• Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identifying bottlenecks to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Team Development: Training, onboarding new employees, monitoring individual performance, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring staff for career growth.
• Compliance and Safety: Implementing company policies, safety protocols, and ensuring regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, H&S) are strictly followed to maintain a safe workplace.
• Operational Reporting: Acting as a bridge between frontline employees and senior leadership, providing regular updates on department progress, challenges, and successes
