Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I use a 3D CAM software called Solidworks to design parts and system used to manufacture my companies specialized craft. This involves making 3D models, creating engineering for fabricators and assembly drawing to be used in house by our electrical and mechanical fitters.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have learned so much at Marine Specialised Technology and really couldn't say anything bad about them as they have provided more than enough with my course by giving me plenty of time for training and off the job hours as well as supporting me with my work through shadowing and being mentored
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I am now capable of designing working craft systems such as bilge and fuels system. I can consistently adhere to engineering standards such as BS 8888 when completing my work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The only fault was the start of my programme as there was a rocky start with what level i was and the course requirements but that has since been resolved.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

If I need more time on my work or need help my employer is more than happy to give me the resources to learn and progress at a comfortable pace.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have regular meetings going through what i need to progress my qualification and have talks about how to solve any issues i face.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There has been a couple extra-curricular activities offered but I have personaly not had any interest in them

Marine Specialised Technology might be one of the world's leading companies for specialized craft but you shouldn't feel intimidated or under skilled as the company as a whole is willing to provide you with knowledge and skills needed for that work environment.
