Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I rotated round 3 teams being Customer Service, Customer Relations and Business Processing. Each team had very different day-to-day routines, but I enjoyed each one so much. I was treated as a regular member of the team and managed the same case load, so I was learning as much as possible in each team within the limited team I had there.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I loved it!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, my confidence has grown massively whilst being an apprentice as I was bought out of my comfort zone whilst presenting, recorded interviews, tours etc. Also my social skills whilst being in a customer facing role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It was very well organised - as soon as I joined, they had a very structured routine for me and ensured I was comfortable every step of the way. I also had a mentor who I could go to if I had an concerns, equally each of my managers have been very supportive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support, especially in my work. My apprenticeship work was quite independent and I had my tutor to go to for help. But if I was struggling with work or I became overwhelmed, my employer was very kind and understanding.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
We had catch- ups every 2 weeks, but I could also text her if I had an queries between these catch- ups and she would reply within a few hours, so I had lots of support from her.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I learnt loads of things from managerial methods, how to approach customers, sales strategies and much more which hugely supports within my day to day work now.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is so much, especially within the early careers community. As a whole company, we have a summer barbecue and a winter ball which is always so much fun and is a great way to network with those round the business. Then, we will have random work trips such as the theatre too. There are sometimes pub quizs hosted by the early careers people, and we often meet for lunch which is a nice touch.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Mainly the culture stands out for me compared to other companies I hear of from friends. We have such a tight-knit, amazing culture which honestly makes me never want to leave!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
Don't be nervous and just be yourself. Siemens is so inclusive so you would never have a problem 'fitting in', it's a great place to work and you will have an amazing time.
