Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Documenting data tables to optimise the view of data like company targets so stakeholders could analyse their yearly targets simply and make decisions based on the results. Alongside this, I upskilled my python abilities.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the work/life balance and learning with hands on experience rather than in a classroom. Amazon has given me the opportunity to learn something completely new with confidence and ease and utmost support for any challenges I faced.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Before starting, I had no knowledge in coding or python which is the basis of my job role and now feel proficient and capable with this new skill.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation and communication between the employer and training provider is brilliant. There is lots of flexibility and consideration for the apprentice considering we have to work and obtain a degree at the same time.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

As well as the encouragement to upskill my own time management skills, there is also lots of support when facing challenges and I often feel very considered when balance becomes difficult but in a way that does not hinder my development.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I feel like I get as much support as possible without it being overbearing. I'm always reminded of the support POCs if I ever needed them and always feel encourage to reach out no matter how big or small the question is.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It provides me with a lot of confidence throughout my job role and makes me feel secure in decisions that I make because of the knowledge and skills i'm provided with from my training provider.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in although I am not involved in any reoccuring activities for now but I know I would like to be when I see the perfect thing that suits me.

Why?

I feel like Amazon suits the role to the employee rather than choosing people that fit the criteria and have the highest technical knowledge which just increases the support I feel from Amazon as a whole.
