Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I ensure that environment works properly behind the scenes—clean, safe, stocked, and responsive—so clinical staff can deliver patient care effectively. My key responsibilities are ensuring teams such as, cleaning/domestic services, portering and catering meet requires standards, especially in clinical environments. On a day to day basis I allocate daily tasks and manage rotas, monitor time keeping and performance, provide on the job guidance and basic training and I also act as the act as the first point of contact for staff issues. I also ensure compliance with NHS and Trust standards, including: infection prevention and control (IPC), Health & safety regulations, Cleanliness standards. This includes carrying out audits, spot checks, and reporting issues.
