Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Move round in 6 month placements in engineering areas, and I can tailor it to my interests, I've worked on design drawings, using new technology to solve engineering problems, and practical hands on work. day-to-day I have various tasks to do with these, as well as small projects to work on to help digitalising where I work
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
A lot, it's very personalised as there aren't too many apprentices, so you get a lot of support, and freedom to tailor your experience

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've improved in confidence / public speaking, project management and I feel like I'm making an impact, which is really nice

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, and they listen and act on feedback which is really good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support, and if i ever need more time for uni work, then I can get it, everyone I've worked with has been supportive of me and my degree, and personal life too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Lots of support, my tutor is always here if I need, and so are the lecturers, and they work on feedback too to make the course better for younger years
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It does help, there isn't as much overlap as there could be, but everyone on the course has a very different job, so bits do apply and others don't, but probably will in the future. overall very good and useful to know though
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are loads of networks and things going on that you can get involved with if you want, and at uni too, as you're a student there.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend E.ON UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I've been able to grow personally and professionally a lot through this, I am really enjoying it and am getting plenty of support and doing well, it's really enjoyable
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON UK?
Definitely apply, worst case it's just good interview experience... Try and stand out, and be creative in your presentation. Don't be too cocky or too quiet, but make sure you talk to people there and if there's a group thing make sure everyone is included
