Overall, how would you describe your experience at ASDA?
Strong platform to launch a career. Highly compatible work environment with friendly and helpful colleagues. Also, ASDA allows platforms to upskill via apprenticeships.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking of data and collaboration with suppliers.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I was directly involved in forecasting the stock to be sent to one of the several stores of Asda.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

While the pay package is not that competitive, the benefits like colleague discount and other vouchers do help. Along with that, fully funded apprenticeships are very helpful.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Pretty solid as a base in supply chain management although the role does gets impacted by artificial intelligence.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Very confident as I have also picked up supply chain project role along with doing apprenticeship which is increasing my overall knowledge.

My manager is very helpful although I do have less interactions with HR. Other work colleagues are very helpful and welcoming.
How is your work-life balance?

Asda has hybrid ways of working and highly flexible. Also, manager is always available to support me whenever I seek the same.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

I could be considered as a 'person of colour'. Having said that, I have always felt welcome within ASDA.
How would you rate ASDA initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

I am a person who believes more in meritocracy rather than DEI. But Asda is very high on DEI initiatives with support for every colleague irrespective of their individual characteristics.
How would you rate ASDA CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

I would say they do it a lot ranging from Yorkshire three peaks events, tickled pick events for breast cancer awareness and volunteering programs with fairshare. These are some of the initiatives which I have heard or participated in ASDA.

Work culture is solid with high respect towards work life balance. Also, people are friendly and welcoming.

High learning curve although specialisation exists l, which do sometimes limit the wider supply chain management learning.

Be your self. Your personality matters more than your work experience and degrees.
