Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am responsible for delivering best‑in‑class retail execution for a major retail customer across both physical stores and digital platforms. My work sits at the intersection of trade marketing, commercial operations, media planning, budget management, and cross‑functional collaboration. I act as a key connection point between internal teams, external partners, and the customer to ensure every brand activation is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with strategy.
My role allows me to contribute to both day‑to‑day delivery and long‑term planning while developing a wide range of skills that support my apprenticeship and future career progression.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Although challenging at times, the key learning isn't about the job or the degree, it's about how to manage time effectively between the both

Structure and Support

5/5
Well structured. Each Module is in 10 week blocks. You start with your first week attending University lectures then the other 9 at work with 1 day per week/6 hours for your studies.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Very well supported. There are always people around who are happy to talk to you and coach you if you need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
in my final year currently, and feel that the University does offer support, but doesn't flex around apprentices who work, which does cause stress to our cohort.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Allows us to apply what we learn in the lectures to every day work activities and real life.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Lots of social events, charity walks and football matches. Lots of networking events for apprentices and grads also.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I worked here prior to my degree apprenticeship and looking back over the years I feel I've been given the appropriate environment to succeed, but also fail sometimes but had the support around me to try again!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Be different, but also be yourself.
