Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I handle the full recruitment process, from finding and screening candidates through to interview coordination and supporting hiring decisions. Day to day, I’m reviewing applications, speaking with candidates, working closely with hiring managers to understand what they need, and making sure the whole process runs smoothly for everyone involved. I also work closely with clients to manage their needs and stay on top of prospects for new business opportunities
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’ve really enjoyed the programme so far. It’s been a good mix of learning and hands-on experience, and I’ve been able to build my confidence while getting a clear understanding of how recruitment works in practice.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, definitely. I’ve built on my communication and organisation skills, and developed new ones like candidate screening, interviewing, and managing multiple roles at once. I’ve also become more confident working with different stakeholders and adapting to changing priorities.

It’s well organised overall. There’s a clear structure to the programme, with a good balance between training and hands-on experience, and regular check-ins help keep everything on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get a good level of support. My manager and team are approachable and always willing to help, and there are regular check-ins to make sure I’m on track and have what I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a good level of support from my training provider. They’re easy to reach if I have questions, provide clear guidance on assignments, and check in regularly to make sure I’m progressing well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps quite a lot. The qualification gives useful context behind what I’m doing day to day, so I understand the reasoning as well as the process. It’s made me more confident and helps me approach my work in a more structured way.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At my office, we have 'time to engage' which is where we take a couple of hours out and do an activity as a team
