Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role includes designing RFP documents before it gets sent to clients. As apart of my apprenticeship scheme we get to rotate into different teams in broking, claims, and other departments.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme has given be the technical understanding through my studies and the hands on experience when working on projects where the learning can be put into use.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned insurance skills, and communication skills. And developing my design skills that my team nurture.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Can be more clarity on timelines but overall, the programme has been communicated well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lots of support, study days are given when I have exams coming up and if I need to revise for them. My manager is very supportive and understanding.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Again timelines and the process can be communicated better especially with managers, and there isn't much flexibility on how someone likes to learn content. Some people learn differently but only one option is offered. I like learning independently whereas all the tutoring is done as a group.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Though bid design has nothing much to do with the CII, I have applied the knowledge to my rotations in other teams, which I have found to provide me huge value in the work I did with them.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes! There is lots of volunteering opportunities around the business and the business encourages people to donate, volunteer and more. Early careers really involved current apprentices like myself to support on their projects, whether it be join roundtables, mentor sixth form students or support in career fairs.
