Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is mainly customer facing, i am in charge of a few accounts from around the world where my main responsibility is providing good customer service and being the middle man between the customer and our other departments relaying the information to and from. I am responsible for processing purchase orders, credit notes, stock transfer orders, raising and maintaining enquiries, providing quotes and much more. As of recently, i have also been running open order reports for the department.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed this programme as learning whilst working on the job has been really beneficial for my personal and professional growth. It can be stressful at busy periods where i have a lot of workload as well as assignments/college work due to be completed, however this has helped to develop my time management skills and to ask for help when i'm struggling.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i have developed a lot of skills during my short time on the course so far such as:
Excel training
Using company systems such as SAP and Teamcenter
Processing finances
Email and document production

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course has been easy to follow and finding the learning documents has been made clear. It's also clear what is expected from the tasks set and when the deadlines for these pieces are work are due for.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have allocated off the job hours for me to complete my coursework (6 hours per week) which i can use at any point however suits me best. As some of my colleagues have been apprentices on this course before they also help me with any questions i may have with the course/coursework when i'm struggling. When i need to do my coursework and am falling behind with my work emails my colleagues support me to get these completed and help me complete what is needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provideris always responsive to my emails if i have any questions, he is also willing to stay behind after class s dismissed to answer any of my questions i may have also. He encourages asking qustions and is not dismissive of you, always happy to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Yes it provides lots of context to my job role and helps me understand the wider scale/impact of my job and the company itself.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

It has a friendly atmosphere that is inviting for new starters, and my colleagues across the company have all been very kind and easy to work with. If you need help or support anyone is happy to take some time to give it to you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AESSEAL plc?
be prepared to learn and work hard, but don't let it stress or burn you out, take all the help and support offered and everything including you will be great!
