Recommendations & Advice
Would you recommend NHS Property Services to a friend?
Why?
What stands out to me is that the work directly supports the NHS and patient care, even when you’re not in a clinical role. There’s a clear connection between what you do day‑to‑day and the wider public good, which makes the work feel meaningful.
It’s also an organisation that genuinely puts people first. There’s a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and belonging, and colleagues are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work. You’re trusted to have a voice, and there’s a real emphasis on psychological safety and collaboration rather than hierarchy.
From a development perspective, NHSPS invests in its people. There are clear routes to build skills, develop as a leader, and progress your career, whether that’s through formal learning, leadership development, or stretch opportunities. The organisation actively encourages continuous learning rather than expecting people to stand still.
Finally, there’s a strong sense of community. People care about doing a good job, supporting each other, and improving how we work together. Combined with a competitive benefits package and flexible ways of working, it makes NHSPS a place where people can build a sustainable, rewarding career.
