The apprenticeship has been a really good path for me. Learning all new skills, meeting new people even improving my confidence. The journey I have been on has been through ups and downs but overall it’s been a great step and I wish to continue at ERCOL.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It’s been very good learning how to stain furniture and learning the process of what the furniture goes through to get to the customer.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills. Such as how to stain furniture lacquering furniture and so much more.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My personal experience at ERCOL is very good. The way everything was ran was smooth and very set out and easy for me to understand.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I had so much access to support from my employer but I didn’t really need to ask for any support because it was already provided on every day to day of work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had so much help if I was ever struggling with anything I know my training provider was only one email away and he would figure out a way to help me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

He helped so much. He helped me to see what I was doing on a deeper level.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a football team that some people play for and I was given the opportunity to play but I was already playing for a football team so I wasn’t available.

Would you recommend Ercol to a friend?

The things that I have learnt and the experience I have had it would be the number one spot that I would offer to someone if they were looking for an apprenticeship.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Ercol?
Just be yourself don’t worry about what you think other people are going to be like. Everyone at ERCOL is really nice and understanding and it’s a great way to make new friends.
