A fast and challenging environment, with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. Interacting with suppliers, having my own work packages to take responsibility for and networking throughout the company as a result.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have improved digital skills with Office software as well as order software the company uses being in a procurement role. As well as this, I have improved my time management skills, professionalism, and communication skills through day to day best practice

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think for the most part, the programme is very well organised and structured, with a good outline of what we will take part in, what we will learn, what we need to achieve, and timeframes for all of the above. However, on occasion, it can go off track and become a bit more hectic and a need to be a lot more reactive to get through

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get plenty of support to make sure I have opportunities to learn, to feel included, and to experience different aspects of the business, while also getting frequent check ups to feedback about the good, the bad, and things I'd like more help with or skills to develop.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get plenty of support, outlining tasks and deadlines, and what we need to be able to achieve the top grades.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think they synergise well as the qualification is the theory which translates into the placement which is the practical

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am not entirely sure, but it is also not something I have looked into personally. I know there are things like outlink and STEM which count but outside of these types of groups, I have not looked into it
