Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I help clients find commercial space in any market they want to be in, across the UK and EMEA, and then broker the deal to finalise the transaction. I also assist in helping landlords with their ongoing real estate strategy through consultancy. I get to go on viewings to different commercial markets to learn about what is available on the market, as well as strengthen my industry relationships.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my role very much as I was very vocal on what I wanted to do within my team as well as be in support of business growth at every stage. I get to help multiple people in the business and spread my value in various areas.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The biggest skill I have developed is the art of communication. Every person has a different level of communication, and learning what theirs is helps with expectation management, establishing boundaries, fostering transparency, and overall relationship development. It has helped me close some great deals and establish strong relationships with senior leaders in the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured as from the start of every structure you know who your module leader is and are able to reach out if needed. Everything student support wise is centralised on the VLE meaning your a couple clicks away from all the resources you need.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from being able to lean on the business when I need help with an assignment or explaining a concept covered in the module, but I need more assistance with this. There is also a lot of support from a well-being side, which is also beneficial.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot, especially now, as I am doing my APC. They host many CPD days, so we can reach our target hours for the year. They work closely with us as much as we need, and they also grant us an extension if there is work pressure or if you need time in general to polish your work. They also let you call on Zoom and get additional support if you aren't the most confident.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Only 4/5 because my role is still relatively new to the real estate sector, and there isn't much training on it within the programme. However, if we are speaking about commercial as a whole, it helps significantly as there are elements of the studies that cross over into my day-to-day and help with understanding the broader real estate language.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots throughout the year. For example, we host a yearly sports day for apprentices, there is surveyor sevens, which is rugby and a good day for networking, there are various sports teams and networking events with people at your level and seniors.
