Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as a Residential Sales Apprentice is to be the point of contact for buyers and sellers during the sale process of a property. My day-to-day includes contacting interested buyers to arrange viewings of properties and negotiate the best possible price point that considers both parties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I receive an ample amount of support all across Savills. I am a trusted employee and am not treated less than in any way. I am receiving an adequate training and my training course complements and helps me understand my role a lot better.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my communication skills - I used to lack the confidence to communicate with customers over the phone and dealing with in person enquiries. I have also developed the ability to multitask - registering details while maintaining a flowing conversation with customers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Monthly training sessions are scheduled in advance allowing enough time to prepare. Assignments are set after each session with an appropriate amount of time given to complete it within.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have no complaints regarding support received by my employer - I have received an abundant of support through my apprenticeship!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received nothing but support from my training provider after expressing my concerns about finding my feet in the routine of studying after taking a gap year.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
All my training modules align with my role - I apply everything I am taught to my day to day responsibilities.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of extra curricular activities to get involved in at work - plenty of sports, social and networking opportunities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There is a huge emphasis on “the people” at Savills - it’s full of people who want to support other - even those they have never even crossed paths with. There is no limit to how much one can grow within the company, there are so many departments under one roof. So many opportunities.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Be someone you’d want to work beside - be a people person. Bring yourself to every stage of the application process - if Savills needed the exactly copy of an employee, they wouldn’t be looking to hire because recruiters know that’d be impossible.
