Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an estate agent, I help people buy, sell, and rent properties by acting as a link between clients and the market. On a daily basis, I respond to enquiries, arrange and conduct viewings, and value properties to set competitive prices. I also market homes, negotiate offers between buyers and sellers, and handle the administrative side of transactions. The role is fast-paced and people-focused, requiring strong communication skills, local market knowledge, and the ability to build trust with clients.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In this role, I have developed my communication skills significantly. I’ve learned how to adapt the way I speak depending on the client, whether I’m explaining complex information clearly to first-time buyers or negotiating confidently between parties. My ability to listen has also improved, helping me better understand clients’ needs and respond effectively. Overall, my communication has become more professional, clear, and persuasive, which has been essential in building trust and achieving successful outcomes.

It is well organised we have plenty of opportunities to branch out and shadow other offices and senior colleagues

I've had a lot of support all my colleagues push me to ask more questions and never make me feel silly for not knowing something

Plenty of support he has been in contact with us from the very start. He also arranges calls if we are struggling with modules and tasks
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me understand the importance of why we do what we do rather than just doing it because it is my job.

I would highly recommend my organisation to others because it is incredibly supportive and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. What stands out most to me is the wide range of opportunities available—there are many different avenues to explore, and if one path doesn’t feel right, you’re encouraged and supported to try something else. This flexibility, combined with a positive and encouraging environment, makes it a great place to grow and find what truly suits you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Be authentic and research a bit about what you're interested in as there are so many careers that you may end up realising what you actually applied for isn't the best thing for you but there is something else you'd like to try. I'd also say be a sponge soak all the information in and network
