As a Customer Account Executive, I support the relationship between Unilever and Morrisons by acting as a main point of contact for day‑to‑day needs. I help deliver customer-specific plans, including promotions and product launches, to drive sales and strong in‑store execution. My role involves monitoring performance data to identify opportunities and quickly resolve issues. I also work closely with Category, Shopper, and cross‑functional teams to ensure all activity is aligned and delivered smoothly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, as it gives me the chance to build my skills while gaining real experience in a fast‑paced commercial environment. The mix of on‑the‑job learning and academic study keeps the work varied and helps me see how my development is progressing. I especially like having responsibility on real projects and being part of a supportive team that helps me grow. Overall, the programme feels rewarding, engaging, and well suited to my career goals.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve developed a range of new skills while also strengthening existing ones. I’ve improved my data skills through analysing sales performance, tracking availability, and interpreting trends to support customer conversations. I’ve also built stronger communication and relationship‑management skills by working closely with retailers and cross‑functional teams. Alongside this, I’ve developed greater confidence in planning, organisation, and taking ownership of tasks within a fast‑paced commercial environment.

I receive a strong level of support from my employer, both in my day‑to‑day role and throughout my apprenticeship programme. My manager and wider team are always available to offer guidance, answer questions, and help build my confidence as I take on more responsibility. I also benefit from structured check‑ins, mentorship, and access to learning resources that help me develop my skills. Overall, I feel well supported and encouraged to grow throughout my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
