You are a valued member of the team from the start and are given multiple opportunities to contribute to projects and the wider business. You are given time to study and also apply your knowledge you learn through university to projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is designed to support you through your learning at university and project work. However, the overall apprenticeship programme is long and require continuous upkeep and admin which can be difficult when balancing project work and life outside of work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt loads of knew skills and developed already existing skills. Apprenticeships are one of the best way to push yourself to develop both technical skills but also soft skills like communication, collaboration and professionalism.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme has university which has its own set of structure. Mace also have a coinciding programme of required competencies I have to reach by the end of the programme. I have regular check-in with my university every 3 months, where I set goals and review what I have learnt both academically and on the job.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

All colleagues are happy to help you learn whether that is something technical or academic. The apprenticeship programme managers will also support you if there is any concerns around your apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My university provide a vast amount of support for my programme. whether that is support for how to write assignment or if it is wellbeing support. There is multiple ways of getting in touch with the university and from my experience will have multiple solutions to help you.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives you a lot of base knowledge and context which you can apply to your day role. It can also give you very specific technical knowledge which dependent on the project you can apply.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
