I work as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner working within mental health services. My role includes clinical contact with patients, service development, leadership and management responsibilities, research, and training delivery.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My course is well designed for my role, and appropriately challenging for my skill level. There are areas at times where things could be improved, such as role specificity and organisation, however overall it meets the requirements for my role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt numerous skills appropriate for my role, including physical health assessment, clinical examination, consultation, quality improvement and service design.

My programme is reasonably well organised, and easy to navigate.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is excellent, and provides adequate support for my role and responsibilities. They are accommodating and flexible when needed, and are able to understand my role and how it can be best utilised.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider spaces modules out appropriately through the year. There are times when this is much more intense, particularly when there are simultaneous requirements within my clinical role. Occasionally, this does impact on my personal life which can be difficult.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have developed significant knowledge and skills to be able to fulfill the requirements of my role to a high level of competence and capability.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
