Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It is looking at complete breakdowns of systems on board of the submarine and finding possible faults, errors, and replacements in the systems. then writing detailed maintenance reports on this and these then go with the submarine to be carried out
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I cannot comment on this as i have not done any, I am full time at college and so the idea and job sounds very good to me although i haven’t actually done any of it.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is good now however there with issues to do with the college at the start of the year. Issues to do with lack of staff was a major one when starting the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is many BAE employees at the college site and we are able to reach out to our manager whenever we need and have a response in good time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
College staff are mainly here to teach and assist us which they do well. Bae staff is more to support us with what they need and they teach certain subjects.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It is good for giving us the background knowledge of engineering so that we can use this when we go into our full time role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
