Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am responsible for the administration and coordination of the company vehicle fleet and a range of operational support tasks. This includes managing vehicle onboarding and off-boarding, maintaining hub vehicle records such as condition and mileage, and overseeing weekly checks for insurance and breakdown cover. I also arrange vehicle services, MOTs, repairs, hire vehicles, trackers, fuel cards, and conduct monthly driving licence checks.
Alongside fleet management, I support business operations by organising client events, inviting clients and distributing tickets. My role also involves completing company accreditations and PQQ's to ensure ongoing compliance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my job because it is varied and gives me the opportunity to work across different areas of the business. No two days are the same, and I like being involved in a mix of responsibilities such as managing the vehicle fleet, supporting operational tasks, and helping organise client activities. I enjoy being able to keep things organised and running smoothly, while supporting the wider team and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I have developed several new skills in my role. I have gained experience completing PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), which has helped me better understand tendering processes and company requirements. I have also expanded my knowledge of vehicle management, including compliance, maintenance coordination, and fleet administration. In addition, I have taken on new operational responsibilities such as managing accreditations and renewals, which has improved my understanding of industry standards and business compliance.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is well organised and structured. Previously, I had weekly review meetings, which have now moved to twice a month to review progress and priorities. During these meetings, my progress with my apprenticeship is also discussed to ensure I am staying up to date with my work and requirements. I have always been supported with dedicated time during working hours to complete my apprenticeship tasks, which has helped me keep on track and balance this alongside my day-to-day responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They regularly check in on my progress and make sure I am keeping up to date with my apprenticeship. I am given time during working hours to complete my apprenticeship work, which helps me balance it with my day-to-day responsibilities. I also feel supported in my role as I am able to ask questions, take on new tasks, and develop my skills across different areas of the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive good support from my college training provider. We have formal reviews every 12 weeks to discuss my progress and ensure I am on track with my qualification. When I first started the apprenticeship, my tutor visited every four weeks to provide additional support and guidance until we both felt I was confident enough to manage the work more independently. This support has helped me understand the requirements of the course and stay on track with my learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that my qualification helps me perform better in my role by improving my understanding of business operations and the tasks I complete on a daily basis. It has helped me develop skills in organisation, communication, and managing different responsibilities. The knowledge I gain through my training provider also supports the work I do within the business, particularly when completing operational tasks and understanding processes such as compliance and accreditations.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are several extra-curricular activities available at work. We have our own gym that can be used throughout the working day, and a personal trainer visits once a week, with sessions that can be booked individually. There is also a ladies-only yoga class on Thursdays led by a yoga instructor. These activities provide a great opportunity to stay active, promote wellbeing, and engage with colleagues outside of day-to-day work tasks.
