Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is being an early year practisnor in a pre-k room i prepare the children for primary school, look after my key children, work in partnership with parents, give snacks and meals and do fun activites.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy that it is a fulfilling job this is first job i actually enjoy its wholesome you make great bonds with the children and parents and teaching and making them achieve their next steps is always rewarding. it is also fun working hands on with kids and doing an apprentership.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

yes i learnt how to behaviour manage, still working on that, how to see early signs of abuse in children, how to do dietary forms and risk assessment . built my own confidence in public speaking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it is structured well however working 40hrs a week and trying to finish your programme on time and have a social life is a bit difficult sometimes after working all week you don't want to study.

is so lovely kind and supportive, when she visits the nursery she is always warm and friendly and will tell the manager i need to leave the classroom to focus on work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

helps me develop a deeper understanding in early years and how their little brains work, it also helps me with daily challenges i may face in the classroom and how to deal with them and approach them. Also how to safeguard the children safely.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

we have runs for charities and open days for our community.

yes Kido is so lovely an amazing building, such nice managers and parents and CEOs and higher management. it is an enjoyable job, lots of fun sometimes doesn't feel like a job but a family and community. we do lots of parties like summer party, Halloween, world book day, mothers day and more so each day is exciting,
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Kido Schools UK?
it takes long to apply but once's you get through the long stage of applying it is worth it, and the children you meet will change your life. do that parentship its with it. only a year and life will be sweet.
