Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a customer service agent involves communicating via email with customers who have queries with the web browser we offer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My Tutor is an excellent communicator, with experience and being able to engage with myself on a 1 to 1 basis. he ensures my knowledge is correct before allowing me to proceed to the next stage of the apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have definitely learnt new skills both in my role, and as part of the apprenticeship. I am also more confident in using the skills to assist in the menial task and to give advice out to colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well, with each session not entangling and consistently staying on point. The focus on each session is solely around the target work set for the session, however, my tutor does take time before the session to ensure my work is up to date and that there was no queries before we proceed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support from the employer, with extra note to my Team Leader is positive and very understanding. My manager ensures i am managing all my tasks evenly, and is happy to move things around to accommodate me further.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor is very supportive, ensuring with each session that I am happy with what has already been discussed and at the end setting time to discuss if I am happy with the next task.
He is also very understanding, if I am struggling with the time frame or with the work, I can contact him and he will call and discuss what we can do to make it easier/ better to manage.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe there is already benefits that my apprenticeship has provided to me, having to set the times out for my apprenticeship meeting helps me to ensure all my other task are completed or at least moved. This is providing me with an overall better management system and organisation that I didn't know I possessed.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is plenty of extra-curricular activities throughout the year, with specialised days (Like Valentine's) to Charity Events like the Toy run or MacMillan. We also have special lunches, for birthdays, pizza day with Cakes and even coffee and cake mornings.

I have worked here for getting up to 5 years, in this time, I have changed roles, done different training courses and I am now onto an apprenticeship. The company supports your education first, whilst also ensuring the work is above standard.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston Holdings Limited?
As someone who has already applied and had someone else recommended into the company, the advice I would always follow is to ensure you are serious about the job, there are plenty of opportunities to grow, within the company or alongside it but not having the correct mindset in this role, will not serve you great purpose.
