Level 2 trainee Review

Spent my day encouraging children to grow and develop to the best of their ability, focusing on their individual needs. I did this accompanied by a respectful and approachable team under management that helped me whenever necessary

The programme is structured well, I have clear timetables sent to me whenever a new timetable is due. Reviews and observations are carried out regularly and routinely, ensuring that I’m doing well and to the best of my ability.

My employer supports me very well, ensuring that if I need a college day I can have one when it is possible for me to. They ensure I am keeping on top of my off the job hours as well.

I receive lots of support from my training provider. I’m able to email at any suitable time and my questions and inquiries are answered efficiently.

I feel that all of my lessons improved me as a practitioner. As a now level 3 trainee I think I’ve learned a lot about my job and it’s improved my practise when it comes to the children, working with parents and other colleagues.

I personally believe that doing my apprenticeship through fgnd was amazing for me to gain hands on experience in a nursery. Since I was a child I have always wanted to work with children and I feel as though working here has become a stepping stone to reach further into my career. I feel supported by everybody at my work place and feel as though I have learnt more and more as I become a fully qualified nursery practitioner. As well as this, I am also able to earn money and learn many new life skills which I wouldn’t necessarily be able to do if I chose to go to college.
