Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Government Economic Service to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Get to earn a degree in economics whilst working in the civil service, or other firms such as the Bank of England, exposing yourself to the real world of economics, having the opportunity to meet those who would seem inaccessible otherwise. Work trips to different cities at times, and impactful work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Government Economic Service?
When applying focus on how an economist would act, and how an economist would portray data and economics to a non-economist.
