Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Every morning analysing the yields and how much they have changed in order to know whether to complete a rate change to improve or worsen rates. Then partaking in several projects involving process improvement and development, as well as analysing data to compare fields and see if pricing and finance teams data matches
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given the responsibility of looking daily at yields and involved in the process of determining whether a rate change should happen or not

I received a huge amount of support from everyone in the team I was working in, everyone was happy to help and support where I had questions no matter how big or small. I also received huge amounts of support from the talent acquisition team.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone who worked with me during the internship were happy to work for a company such as L&G and the atmosphere around the work they complete was enthusiastic. They all support each other and I would love to be work for a company such as L&G after I graduate

What advice would you give to others applying to Legal & General
I would recommend using the opportunity to their advantage, talking and networking with lots of different people to learn more about what you enjoy and what others do. Being in such a large company has given me the opportunity to make lots of new connections which wouldn't have been possible otherwise
