Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role includes a range of many tasks, from completing and posting various journals, working with my colleagues to complete month end, and assisting in many ad hoc queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the apprenticeship I am doing. Kier is such a fantastic environment enabling me to build many relationships with some amazing people. The course itself has been well structured with support wherever needed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt and developed many different skills within my time at kier. For example I have become fully competent on excel, even learning macros and power query to help assist these skills further. Kier is also a great environment to build your confidence and put yourself out there for plenty of opportunities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My apprenticeship is well structured with a clear line of direction.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support from my employer has been exceptional. I have bi‑weekly calls with my line manager to review my progress, as well as a six‑month catch‑up with Emerging Talent, who consistently reassure me that I can reach out at any time if I need support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My university is very supportive and encourages regular calls to discuss topics and subjects in more depth, offering assistance in any way they can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification supports my role well. What I learn directly links to my day‑to‑day tasks, and applying it at work helps me understand the content more clearly. The two complement each other and improve my performance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are always plenty of charity events to get involved in, and one of the most notable in Birmingham is the annual boat race on the canals, which I plan to take part in next year.
