My work varies depending on the audit stage. I am regularly attending internal team meetings, client meetings, doing audit testing, doing write ups on my audit work. I am using reviewing client data, performing recalculations, and creating queries. I am exercising my professional judgement and using professional scepticism.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the flexibility in terms of working patterns. I enjoy the variety of work I receive. I enjoy the challenges exposed to me within my work. I like how the first 6 certificate exams are spread out.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The college dates sometimes change so it can be hard to book leave. But overall the exams are spread out and you get a generous amount of study leave.
We also get days off of work to do our reflective statements and work on our ICAEW L4 End Point Assessment.

You get a generous amount of study leave for your exams.
In normal audit work, all my team members are so friendly and supportive. They encourage me to go for opportunities available to me and always are willing to help.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

You receive lots of revision materials from BPP which is our tuition provider. You get course notes, pre-recorded videos, videos walking through mocks, mocks and there is a tutor forum to aks questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Within my studies for my qualification I learn a lot that covers technical audit areas. For example you learn about materiality, letter of representation and vital audit documentation documents. You also learn about accounting standards which is vital for compliance within our audit work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am apart of the Apprentice Network which allows me to help other apprentices. We host workshops for exam tips, how to do your off the job training log and end point assessment support.

- There is a lot of exam support for your ACA exams in terms of study leave
- People that work here are so friendly
- there are so many things you can get involved in e.g. networks, hubs, social activities
- you can work from home and only have to go into the office 2 days a week
- you can flex your hours e.g. start at 7 am and finish at 3pm
