Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my role, I manage a portfolio of clients and handle the processing of their payroll. I ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within set deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality. I help assist with client queries and prepare their reports. Alongside my responsibilities at work, I also balance my college studies.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot, as each day offers the opportunity to learn something new. I am supported well by my team, and the work I do aligns closely with what I’m learning at college

The programme is very well structured, with strong support and clear communication from both my employer and training provider

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive, and we have regular one-to-one meetings. I also have a buddy who is extremely helpful whenever I have questions. The team as a whole are very approachable and always willing to offer support

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider is very supportive, holding regular one-to-one meetings with both me and my tutor. We also have quarterly review meetings with my line manager to discuss my progress and identify how the workplace can continue to help me achieve my best on the course. In addition, my training provider ensures I have access to all the resources I need to succeed

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps me perform better in my role, as the course provides an in depth understanding of payroll. Many parts of the programme closely align with the work I do day to day, which has strengthened my knowledge and increased my confidence in my abilities.
