Cloud Accounting - using the latest software incorporated with AI to carry out tasks such as VAT returns, year-end accounts, and other accounting-related tasks.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

PM+M offer many perks such as flexible working hours, opportunities to work from home, and a minimum of 25 paid days of annual leave to enhance the enjoyment of new apprentices.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Working at PM+M has taught me many new skills as well as improving skills I already had. This includes teamwork, communication, mental arithmetic, intuition and many more useful skills in the world of accounting.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

PM+M heavily support new intakes to complete related qualifications such as AAT and plan in work that correlates with what is being studied.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive and I have regular one-to-one meetings with my manager to discuss how I'm performing, how I can progress further, and any concerns I may feel that I need to raise.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider, First Intuition, are very supportive with qualifications. The tutors are extremely helpful in helping new learners like myself prepare for exams as well as complete assignments that will be used in a portfolio needed in the qualification.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has helped significantly in consuming theoretical knowledge related to accounting and has allowed me to use this in a more practical way. Although not all subjects correlate to the work I do on a day-to-day basis, I believe that everything studied can be very helpful to have under my belt.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many social activities such as social days where teams will spend an allocated budget on fun activities such as a meal out or an escape room. Sometimes, employees will try set up football/padel games but numbers are limited. PM+M take part in many professional networking events and are usually represented by a partner or director.
