Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As part of the Operational Excellence (OPEX) team at Lantmännen Unibake, I support site-wide improvement initiatives by collecting and analysing production data to identify inefficiencies and drive operational performance.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Key Responsibilities:
• Use Microsoft Excel to collect, clean, and analyse production, waste, and downtime data across multiple sources and shifts.
• Calculate key performance metrics including OEE, yield, waste percentage, and uptime.
• Identify process bottlenecks using tools such as Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Work across multiple projects involving complex datasets, taking into account variables like machine speed, shift patterns, and material waste.
• Present insights and recommendations through visual dashboards and summary reports, tailored for both technical teams and senior leadership.
