Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I spent a lot of time working on practical projects to support the company’s goals. Day to day, that meant building Excel templates to track emissions, looking into how waste moved through the factory to spot improvements, and helping raise awareness by sharing sustainability knowledge with the team. It was a mix of hands-on problem solving and getting people engaged with sustainability.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given full autonomy over how I wanted to address the projects I was given.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I definitely developed my Excel skills a lot, especially around building templates and handling data in a more structured way. I also improved my problem-solving skills when looking into waste processes but especially built confidence in communicating sustainability ideas and being confident in a workplace.
