Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Looking after the children focusing on their development and wellbeing. Promoting safeguarding. Pleasure to be with children however the toxic atmosphere is what makes this particular role incredibly tough. It could be the perfect job… if not for the terrible management and unprofessional, disengaged and unmotivated staff hired to look after the children that one has to work with in a team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Absolutely no support from Kido schools. I have done the majority of my modules at home due to the fact I am very rarely given time to complete my assignments during my hours at work. Feels like a scam, hired as an apprentice but not given the appropriate time to complete apprenticeship work. Dismal management who have no interest in helping their staff flourish let alone work towards having a pleasant and professional work environment.

The programme by BPN is great however Kido have offered little to no support for me to complete my apprenticeship
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I would give 0 stars if I could. It has been a constant battle to be allocated even an hour or two per week to do apprenticeship work. Very disappointing and saddening that I am hired as an apprentice but treated like a basic member of staff who works all hours in their contract, not someone who is still in training and most importantly needing time to study etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider has been a supportive from the very beginning. I shared my aim to finish the apprenticeship in a year and have had nothing but constructive feedback and consistent support from my tutor at BPN. The only
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It’s excellent. However my role is made 1000x times harder due to the toxic work environment extremely poor management. Over my year in the company I have worked within each room in the building and have worked with over 20 different colleagues but have learnt from only two of the 20 people I have worked with on a daily basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

None at all. There is no willingness from management in my specific Kido branch for networking, team building, sharing ideas and advice etc. very poor management and therefore a huge lack of support for eager apprentices wanting to learn more, do more etc. thanks

Would you recommend Kido Schools UK to a friend?
No
Why?
The management is very poor. The staff they hire is unbothered and not motivated to give the children the best education and experiences possible. Dreadful company to work for as it is quite simply mismanaged, chaotic and disorganise. The poor choice of staff means that the children are not given the maximum effort required for their early learning journey to be special and nurturing.

Don’t do it unless you enjoy toxic work environments !
